Nirma University and its constituent Institutes have been accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with Grade ‘A’. University continuously attempts to meet the standards of quality in terms of its teaching-learning, research and administrative processes.
National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has thoroughly revised its process of assessment and accreditation to ensure that the accreditation process is in tune with local, regional and global changes in higher education scenario. To better understand the revised NAAC methodology, Centre for Quality Assurance and Academic Development (CQAAD), Nirma University invited Dr. Vishnukant S. Chatpalli, Adviser, National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) to deliver a talk on “New Framework Guidelines and Data Validation & Verification (DVV) Process for NAAC Accreditation” on April 25, 2019.
In the first half of his talk, Dr. Chatpalli spoke about the paradigm shift in approach and philosophy adopted by NAAC in its Revised Accreditation Framework (RAF). He elaborated how the main focus of the NAAC revision process is to enhance the key features of the accreditation process and make them more robust, objective, transparent and scalable as well as making the entire accreditation process ICT enabled.
In the later half, Dr. Chatpalli discussed about integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the revised accreditation framework. He discussed how the Revised Framework is more ICT intensive by presenting the entire ICT-enabled work flow of the Assessment & Accreditation Process.
